Tragedy tomorrow, comedy tonight

The spring theatre was amazing this year! Well, it’s not as long as Romeo and Juliet nor it’s not as wonderful as those classics, but, it’s very close to our lives. I have never seen a show that’s so close to my daily life and was direct by those people I saw in my everyday life. It might not be the best show, but it’s the most impressive one that I can understand every single of them and easily feel the point of those jokes. Thus, I love this show!

The others plays in the black box theatre these years are also amazing and the plots are even better than those ones, but those series of pieces can attract me easily, especially the one of our school morning meeting. I can recognize every single teacher in the stage that acted by student, and those fun parts that showed each teacher’s habit. When “Ms. Anderson” said her joke, I started to laugh spontaneously; When “Ms. Minahan” put her dog down, I suddenly feel the dog’s bark every night after lights out; When “Mr. McBreen” asked people to be in dress code, I would absolutely realize his son’s tragedy experience on that. It’s just too close to my life that I see those everyday, and it made me feel comfortable by recognize my daily life.

Otherwise, the songs were also good to listen. The girls sang very well and my mind was still surrounded by the melody of “John Jiang, the Latte boy”. Well, that’s brainwashing! Also, the part that man acted as women was surprising. Well, I would describe those boys as… um… pretty cute… maybe. It did attract a lot attention through the audience, so that’s a successful action.

Overall, I like the comedy pieces that it brought me so much fun. I wish to see similar things and good work in next year’s show as well!
